EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT

               -Graduate of the UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics in 1988.  Specialized study in agronomy.              
               -Employed as Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) in West Central, Central and Southern Illinois, consulting on farm inputs, including GIS/GPS applications from 1995 to 2003.  Provided written nutrient recommendations to 30+ growers annually. 

               -Employed by Illinois Nutrient Planners, a firm specializing in soil type testing and nutrient management plans utilizing GIS/GPS technologies since 1998.  Associated  Company with USDA NRCS Tech Reg (TSP-B-03-289).

               -Contractual affiliation with R. W. Young and Associates, Inc., specializing in writing nutrient management plans, and consultation 2003-05.  Associated  Company with USDA NRCS Tech Reg (TSP-B-04-468).

               -Regional Corn Agronomist with Stine Seed Company covering Northern Illinois.  Providing support of technical issues related to hybrid placement along with troubleshooting and diagnostics.  Concurrent with Illinois Nutrient Planners responsibilities.

 ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES EXPERIENCE

             

                -RMS Development:  Prepared Resource Management Systems in various Illinois counties for EQIP funding.

                -NRCS:  Survey Assistant with "The Earth Team" as volunteer.  Providing in-field assistance with RUSLE, waterway design and other projects.

               -EROSION:  Assisted with Rainulator Erosion Project evaluating various tillage and no-till practices as to rate of runoff, amount of erosion and infiltration rate.  University of Illinois Northwest Agriculture Research Facility.                 -TILLAGE PRACTICES:  Collected data as to soil temperature variation under different tillage practices including no-till, moldboard, chisel and field cultivator.  Study conducted under both corn and soybean rotations.  University of Illinois Northwest Agriculture Research Facility.                 -SOIL FERTILITY:  Consultant on soil analysis for Illinois corn, soybean and wheat growers.  Providing efficient recommendations on fertilizers, soil amendments and foliar feeding.                 -SOIL/HERBICIDE INTERACTION:  Research assistant on deep core soil sampling for chemical leaching, established various test plots, applied trial herbicides to be evaluated for performance, collected computer weather report and conducted other field and laboratory work.  Monsanto Company, Agriculture Products Division.
